Depression Treatment and Medication Management
Innate Wisdom Psychiatry & Wellness provides treatment for personalized depression and treatment resistant depression at our office in Arvada, CO or via Telehealth sessions. Whether you're starting treatment for the first time or looking for a better fit, our goal is to make your care feel collaborative, compassionate, and effective.
Our psychiatric nurse practitioner, Daniel Plastino, offers medication management that’s tailored to your unique symptoms, health history, and past experiences with treatment. Every step of the process is built around what works best for you.
We focus on providing medication-based support for adults dealing with a range of mood and mental health challenges.
If any of the following sound familiar, we may be able to help:
Conditions We Help Treat
Ongoing low mood, lack of energy, and loss of interest in daily activities that lasts more than two weeks and interferes with functioning.
Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
Depression that hasn’t improved after trying two or more medications. We specialize in helping people explore new options when others haven’t worked.
Treatment-Resistant Depression
When anxiety symptoms, such as racing thoughts, worrying, and catastrophizing, show up alongside feelings of depression.
Depression with Anxiety
Mood disorders marked by alternating episodes of depression and mania or hypomania. Depressive episodes involve low mood, fatigue, and loss of motivation, while manic or hypomanic episodes feature elevated or irritable mood, increased energy, and impulsive behavior.
Bipolar Disorders
Emotional lows triggered by life changes, stress, or grief that may require short-term medication support.
Situational Depression
Depression shows up differently for everyone. Some deal with mild depression, while others face moderate or severe symptoms. It might feel like a heavy fog, constant low energy, negative thoughts, or just not feeling like yourself. That’s why your care should never be one-size-fits-all.
Your treatment plan will be shaped by your experience. During your initial treatment visit, we’ll talk about your depression symptoms, how long they’ve been present, and what prescription medications or other treatments you’ve tried. Then we’ll explore safe, evidence-based options to help you feel more balanced.
Personalized Depression Treatment That Works for You
If you’ve tried multiple medications or therapies without feeling much better, it could be a sign of treatment-resistant depression. This doesn’t mean you’re out of options. It just means it’s time for a different approach.
At Innate Wisdom Psychiatry & Wellness, we work closely with you to understand what hasn’t worked and why. We consider advanced integrative treatment options and fine-tune your care based on your body’s response. Our goal is to help you feel better in a lasting, meaningful way.
Here are some of the ways we support you:

If you've tried multiple medications and still feel stuck, ketamine may offer a different kind of support. It’s been gaining attention as an option for people with treatment-resistant depression who haven’t found relief through traditional medications.
At Innate Wisdom Psychiatry & Wellness, we don’t provide ketamine-assisted therapy ourselves, but we do evaluate whether it could be a good fit for you. If it makes sense for your situation, we’ll guide you through the next steps and refer you to a trusted provider.
